Dr. Stefan Oesen
Dr. Stefan Oesen is an Austrian sports scientist and one of the leading experts in match and performance analysis in Austrian professional soccer.
He began his professional career in the field of video analysis before working in various coaching and analysis roles at SK Rapid Wien from 2012.
There he worked as a video analyst, co-trainer and sports scientist, among other things.

About the speaker
Oesen has been employed by the ÖFB since 2020 and heads the Science, Analysis & Development department. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction and further development of the analysis work of all national teams, supports the coaching teams with detailed tactical and performance-related evaluations and is responsible for projects on evidence-based work at the ÖFB. He is also co-coach of the national team and works closely with the team manager. Oesen is regarded as an important interface between sports science research and practical training work.
